I have been really blue today. It's so weird to have free time during a weekday and not be spending it with Ms. Edna. I headed to the Mall today to get in some walking. Seems like every time I turned a corner I was thinking about shopping or looking in this store, or eating at that table with Ms. Edna. Very bittersweet memories. Maybe it is finally sinking in that I'll have to wait until Heaven to visit with Ms. Edna again. All this time I've been thinking that I'm okay with that...maybe I still have a long way to go.
Over the last few days, I've been telling myself ..."Self, you've nearly written a book about Ms. Edna...you don't need to write more." But the more I think about it, Ms. Edna was way too special in my life to only dedicate one day of my blog to her. Also, as I re-read my post about Ms. Edna, she sounded very saintly. Well yes, she was a godly woman, but she was also a nut! Just like me! I hardly touched on how much FUN we had together! I'll include some pictures here from some of our escapades. I haven't quite gotten the hang of making these line up and look good. So either bear with me or teach me how to do it right! Sorry, all the beach pictures seem to be mysteriously misplaced...uh...maybe they'll turn up one day?
Did I say Ms. Edna loved HATS? Check them out!
In February, 2006 a group of us girls went to the mountains of N. Georgia (Sky Valley, GA to be exact). These pix were taken on a shopping expedition to Dillsborough, NC.
Did I mention that we liked to eat? This pix was taken at the Dillard House in Dillard, GA. You are served family-style. They just bring you all this stuff! It was absolutely wonderful!!!
This is Edna and Linda in December of 2005. Best friends! Edna made us all feel like we were her very best friend. She really did love us all!
Back to Dillsborough in 2007. We were crazier than ever, but we sure had fun!
